Privacy Policy

Last updated · June 24, 2026

This policy explains what 11-11 collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers both the 11-11 web app at 11-11.art and the 11-11 browser extension (the new-tab experience). We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

1. Who we are

11-11 ("we", "us") operates the web app at 11-11.art and the 11-11 browser extension, and is the controller of the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, contact support@11-11.art.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Service:

  • Account & identity. When you sign in (with Google or with an email and password), we receive your email address, a display name, and a unique account identifier. At sign-up we also record your time zone (detected from your device) and language preference, which we use to choose the right art for the time of day and to localize the interface.
  • Your activity & choices. The worlds you follow and the art you collect. This is stored so your collection and choices stay with your account across devices.
  • Data stored locally by the extension. The extension keeps a few things in your browser's local storage: your sign-in tokens, your preferences (chosen emoji for the tab title, language, mood, followed worlds, view options), and a short-lived cache of the art feed so new tabs open instantly. This data lives on your device; the tokens are used to authenticate your requests to our servers.
  • Payment information. 11-11 is currently free, so we do not collect any payment information. If we introduce paid plans in the future, payments would be handled by a reputable third-party processor and we would never store your full card number. We will update this policy before any such change takes effect.

3. What we do not collect

The browser extension contains no third-party analytics, telemetry, or error-tracking SDKs. It does not track your browsing history, read your other tabs, log keystrokes, or fingerprint your device. The only sites it talks to are 11-11's own servers (see permissions below).

4. Cookies & local storage

We use only the storage the Service needs to work. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, so 11-11 does not show a cookie-consent banner.

  • Web app. We store your sign-in session and your preferences (such as language) in your browser. This is strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your choices.
  • Extension. The items listed in section 2 (sign-in tokens, preferences, and a short art cache) are kept in your browser's local storage on your device.

We do not use cookies or local storage for advertising, cross-site tracking, or analytics.

5. Browser extension permissions

The extension requests the minimum permissions it needs:

  • storage — to save your preferences, sign-in tokens, and the art cache locally in your browser.
  • identity — used only to complete the secure sign-out flow.
  • Access to 11-11.art domains (the API, the sign-in service, and the 11-11.art website) — to load the art, sync your collection and follows, sign you in, and detect when sign-in finishes on the 11-11.art callback page. The extension has no access to any other website, and does not request permission to read your tabs or browsing history.

6. Why we use your data

  • To operate the Service and show you art for the time of day.
  • To save and sync your collection, follows, and preferences.
  • To sign you in securely and keep your account safe.
  • To provide support.

7. Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that help us run 11-11, and only what each needs:

  • Amazon Web Services — cloud hosting, storage, and our sign-in system (Amazon Cognito), which also brokers Google login.

The art shown in 11-11 is created with AI on our servers; this does not involve sharing your personal data with the AI providers. If we introduce paid plans, or features that send your content to other providers, in the future, we will update this policy before doing so. We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising.

8. International data transfers

Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States, so if you use 11-11 from another country your data is transferred to and processed in the US. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

9. How long we keep it

We keep your account data and content for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@11-11.art; we will remove it from our active systems and backups within about 30 days, except where the law requires us to retain certain records. Data the extension stores locally is removed when you sign out or uninstall the extension.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email support@11-11.art and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

11. Children

11-11 is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Security

All connections use HTTPS. Sign-in tokens are stored in your browser's local storage and sent only to 11-11 servers to authenticate your requests.

13. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or an in-product notice. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
